Undergraduate or graduate students from any faculty at UBC can apply. Preference is given to students entering their 3rd year and beyond.

Career Peer Coaches Position Description 2020-2021

The Career Peer Coaches provide individualized support to undergraduate students across faculties and disciplines in the form of one-on-one strengths-based conversations. Over the course of the conversation, our coaches work with their peers to co-create a plan of action to support success in the area of career development that includes referring their peer to relevant resources. Historically, the Career Peers have focused on resume, cover letter and interview coaching. Depending on availability, assessed needs and coaches’ skills, there may be additional opportunities to support workshop development and delivery and other career development events or activities.

To apply please complete the online application form. Interviews will be conducted to select the final team.

You will be required to respond to 3 short answer questions as a part of the application: 

1. Why do you want to be involved as a student leader? 

2. What do you hope to learn through the role? 

3. Please identify 2-3 strengths and/or qualities that will help you in the role. Be sure to refer to your past experiences that have helps you develop them.
