About Career Peer Coaches

UBC Career Peer Coaches provide individualized support to undergraduate students across faculties and disciplines in the form of one-on-one strengths-based conversations. Over the course of the conversation, coaches work with their peers to co-create a plan of action to support success in the area of career development that includes referring their peer to relevant resources.

Historically, Career Peers have focused on resume, cover letter and interview coaching. Depending on availability, assessed needs and coaches’ skills, there may be additional opportunities to support workshop development and delivery and other career development events or activities.

Who can apply?

Undergraduate or graduate students from any faculty at UBC can apply for the role. Preference is given to students entering their third year and beyond.

There are typically 15 - 20 positions available each year.

Time commitment

The time commitment for the role is 5 hours per week. For detailed time requirements, please review the position description.
