Kitsilano Neighbourhood House

About the project

The project will cover 4 different areas:

  • Volunteer evaluation: A survey link will be sent way ahead of time to Kits House volunteers. UBC students will host focus groups and sort the data during that week. The survey will focus on:
    • Why are people volunteering; What are the three main reasons you are volunteering
    • How is their experience; What are your highlights (and lowlights) from volunteering
    • How long have they been volunteering
    • Do they feel valued as a volunteer; How do they feel valued
    • Do they feel appreciated; How do they feel appreciated
  • Program evaluation: UBC students are expected to engage with Kits house members in various programs and in small groups 3-5, students will create focus group, in addition to conducting individual interviews to evaluate programs/services and collect data.
  • Public survey conducted in Kits House: UBC students are expected to engage with Kits House members that week and get their feedback about:
  • What do they like about Kits House
  • What do they know about kits House
  • What would they like to see more of
  • What are the gaps, or needs they see Kits House supporting. Who knows about gaps? What else could Kits House be doing for the people they know
