Southlands Elementary School

About the project

We will be creating a series of short workshops to introduce children to makerspaces and the maker movement. We will emphasize the value in collaborative workspace for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech and no tech tools.

UBC students will help show the students what it means to be a maker, and how they can foster their own creativity. UBC students will gain experience working with children in a focused, project-based way, and develop interpersonal and collaborative skills.
