Walter Moberly Elementary School [FULL]

About the project

This 3 day project will involve UBC volunteers interacting with elementary school students from Walter Moberly Elementary School located in South Vancouver in order to promote intergenerational learning through the sharing of passions, storytelling and community building. Our goal is to promote intergenerational learning between elementary school students (Grade 1 through Grade 7), UBC volunteers and the teachers at the school. Volunteers will go into classrooms and share with students what they were like at the students’ age and inspire students to think about their futures as well as assist in community building activities or exercises.

This is a great opportunity if you:

  • Enjoy working with kids and people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Enjoy working individually as well as collaboratively
  • Are interested in sharing your own interests and passions with others

      • Learning:  What do I need to learn?  How and where can I learn this?
