Community-Schools Partnership Surrey

About the organization

Community-Schools Partnership is a department of the Surrey School District that is committed to building community capacity through the collaboration of school district staff and community partners. With a child-centered focus we take on a holistic approach to support children’s development through programs that extend learning beyond the classroom and provide enrichment opportunities that are tailored to the unique needs of each child and school.

Community-Schools Partnership has 6 main intended impacts. Through our programs and services we hope to ensure that:

  1. Children are ready able and motivated to learn.
  2. Children are experiencing enriched and expanded learning.
  3. Children are building resiliency, hope and expanding their horizons.
  4. Families are engaged in their children’s learning.
  5. Schools, families, and children are connected in a continuum of supports.
  6. The community is involved in collaborative partnerships that support learning.
