ICUR - The International Conference of Undergraduate Research

About the program

ICUR is an annual two-day undergraduate research conference supported by the Monash Warwick Alliance. This event connects students presenting at their home campuses via video-conferencing to their peers from institutions in the United States, Canada, the UK, Spain, Belgium, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. It will be held on September 28 - 29, 2020. The conference is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate research students to present at an academic conference in a rigorous but supportive environment. Participating in ICUR exposes you to scholars in other disciplines, and provides opportunities to meet (virtually) undergraduate students from around the globe, and practice your public speaking skills. 


  • Participants must be registered as an undergraduate student at UBC at the time of the conference
  • Participants from all disciplines are invited to submit an abstract
  • Be able to present at the UBC Point Grey Campus during the conference scheduled to take place on September 28 - 29, 2020

Awards and Program Costs

There are no fees or awards associated with participating in the conference.

How to apply

Students are invited to submit a 250 page abstract through the ICUR Portal. Abstract submissions are accepted between March 1, 2020 until May 31, 2020.
