ENGINEERING Institute of Canada (Vancouver Branch) Walter Moberly Mem. Prize

A prize of $100 given by the Vancouver Branch of the Engineering Institute of Canada, is awarded to a student in the Faculty of Applied Science. This prize is given in memory of the late Walter Moberly, a pioneer engineer, explorer, and discoverer of the Yellowhead Pass through the Rocky Mountains, whose work in railway locations so greatly influenced the development of the Province of British Columbia. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty, to a student entering third or fourth year. It is the donor's hope that the recipient of the award should become a member of one of the member societies of the EIC or one of its constituent student chapters.
