Fluor Women in Engineering Entrance Award

A $10,000 entrance award has been made available annually through a gift from Fluor Canada Ltd. for an outstanding domestic female student entering the Bachelor of Applied Science program directly from high school. In addition to academic merit, candidates must have demonstrated leadership through participation in extra-curricular or volunteer activities such as professional, school, social and community organizations or athletics. Preference will be given to students involved in activities related to the promotion of women in STEM. Fluor is a multinational engineering, procurement, construction and project management company with 53,000 employees operating on six continents. Fluor Canada Ltd. has supported awards for engineering students at UBC for over thirty years. This academic award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Applied Science.
