A. J. SHAW Graduate Scholarship in Engineering

A $5,750 scholarship has been made available through an endowment established in honor of alumnus, A. John Shaw (BASc. Eng. 1944) for a graduate student focused on undertaking research related to innovations and advancement of clean or renewable energy technologies. As an alumnus, John loved his time at UBC and continued the pursuit of knowledge throughout his life. He appreciates the opportunities that an education at UBC has provided him, his sons and his grandchildren. The scholarship is open to all MASc, MSc and PhD students within the Faculty of Applied Science, with preference given to applicants in Chemical and Biological Engineering. The recommendation is made by the Faculty of Applied Science in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
