Awards for students participating in Go Global

Most undergraduate students who earn scholarships and other merit-based awards are required to meet minimum credit-load and academic performance criteria, according to the Regulations Governing University Awards. However, there are some special circumstances in which exceptions apply.

About International Learning Awards

Over $1.4 million is awarded annually through scholarships and awards to UBC students participating in Go Global international learning programs.

Students who are eligible for awards (see specific criteria below) may receive one UBC or UBC-affiliated international learning award. Students are always offered the highest-value award that they are eligible for. Unless otherwise indicated, all students must meet eligibility criteria set out by the University Senate regarding awards.

Additional application details (if any), can be found by clicking the award name.

Unless otherwise indicated, awards are available to students at both UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan. For students unable to meet the award criteria, please contact your Enrolment Services Professional (ESP) to discuss your situation. Students with extenuating circumstances that meant that they could not achieve the required credit level or grades may be eligible to submit an appeal after the award has been adjudicated. You can find your Enrolment Services Professional on the Student Service Centre (SSC) in the ‘Personal Information’ menu under ‘UBC Contacts’. If you do not have an ESP, please email: goglobal.awards@ubc.ca.
