UBC REC: Sock Walk

Why you should go

If you haven’t already explored Pacific Spirit Regional Park, this is your chance. Get out for some fresh air, make new friends, and donate to a good cause.

Join the UBC Recreation MoveU Crew on a free guided walk of Pacific Spirit Regional Park. Just be sure to bring a pair of new socks to participate and the UBC Agape Street Mission club will distribute them to the homeless community downtown.

Lace Up For Kids

Why you should go

Grab some friends and lace up those skates! All funds raised from this year’s event will support rare disease research.

It’s the 10th annual Lace Up for Kids brought to you by UBC REC and the Rare Disease Foundation, in support of BC Children's Hospital Foundation. There’ll be a silent auction featuring great prizes, skating, food, and much more! UBC REC is looking for volunteers too so here’s your chance to give back and have fun at the same time.

UBC Musical Theatre Troupe: Before We Go - A New Musical

Why you should go

Fill your weekend with a show that’ll make you laugh and cry.

DETAILS

Before We Go is an original musical written by a UBC student, Sebastian Ochoa Mendoza, and performed by students from the UBC MTT club. The production combines comedy with a heartfelt look at life and death by following a group of hospice patients forming a choir to compete in a county talent show. Learn more.

Opening Party of The Fabric of Our Land: Salish Weaving

Come celebrate the opening of MOA’s newest exhibit of rare Salish weavings!

DETAILS

The Fabric of Our Land will take you on a journey through over 200 years of the Salish practice of weaving, starting with a display of some of the earliest Salish hand-woven blankets in existence. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these artifacts in person.
