Help shape UBC's strategic plan

Between Nov 23 and Dec 8, you can provide feedback at one of our open houses and/or in an online survey. Your voice can help validate the emerging plan and offer ideas on how to bring it to life.

UBC is entering the final stages of a process to create a new strategic plan. The new plan will serve as a road map to help us focus even more intently on our core activities of learning and research. It also provides an opportunity for you to help shape the priorities that will influence our university for years to come.

Where we’re at: The draft plan

So far, UBC has sought feedback through open houses, surveys, and a Facebook Live event. A steering committee made up of faculty, staff, students, and alumni reviewed the feedback and identified a series of draft strategic priorities.

We took the draft priorities to Deans, UBC Vice Presidents, and other leaders to articulate them within an overarching framework, which reflects UBC’s core mandate of excellence in learning and research.

Representative working groups are substantiating the framework through objectives and strategies attached to each major area. Their recommendations will be provided to the Steering Committee, Deans, and the UBC Executive.

What you can do

You play a key role in helping us validate the emerging plan and offering ideas on how we can bring the plan to life.

Help shape the plan by:

  • Completing this survey before December 8
  • Coming to an open house at IKBLC Golden Jubilee Room (4th floor)
    • Fri, Nov 24: 12:00 - 4:00 pm
    • Wed, Nov 29: 4:00 - 7:00 pm

By adding your student voice to the process, we can make sure UBC continues to be a dynamic, inspiring place to learn, reflect, and discover.
