The UBC Global Lounge is hosting the 28th International Development Week to inspire the UBC community to engage in challenges and opportunities surrounding international development at local and international levels. Events throughout the week include a panel discussion on ending food waste and  watching the finals of the World’s Challenge Challenge at the C.K. Choi Building.

UBC Sustainability Fair 2019

Why you should go

Sustainable goodies, pop-up shops, a raffle, and free snacks.

Visit the UBC Sustainability Fair to explore the economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable businesses and charities located within the campus community and beyond. The fair will include 30+ booths from pop-up shops to organizations working to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals as well as a raffle and free snacks.

UBC Yoga Rave

Why you should go

Yoga with glow-in-the-dark paint!

DETAILS

A free yoga dance party complete with bright clothes, glow-in-the-dark body paint, and provided mats will be sure to spice up the usual yoga session. The practice will be suitable for all abilities, so arrive early to secure your spot, as space and mats are limited. Registration starts at 6:15 pm.

Thunderstruck

Why you should go

Volleyball and a festival—2 for 1!

DETAILS

This annual event celebrates women in the competitive sports community. To continue the dialogue of gender equality, Thunderstruck will feature the UBC Women’s Volleyball team as they fight for seeding in the Canada West 2019 Championships. The pre-game festival features prizes, live DJs, and entertainment.
