About the group
Juggling university life as a student living on campus with symptoms of ADHD can be a lot. Managing classes, deadlines, and relationships takes energy and focus. This group is here to remind you that you are not alone and that ADHD does not define your potential.
In this drop-in group, we use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you gain skills you can apply right away in your studies, relationships, and daily life on campus.
Topics will include:
- Building focus and managing distractions
- Handling overwhelming thoughts and emotions
- Discovering who you are beyond ADHD
- Identifying what matters most to you and moving towards your goals
- Living more fully in the present and enjoying what UBC has to offer
If you want to feel more grounded, confident, and empowered living with symptoms of ADHD, this group is for you. You don’t need previous experience with counseling to join, just bring your curiosity and openness to learn.
