The Centre for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) funds student-led projects that partner with BC-based community organizations. Grants are made available so you can help address community priorities through projects that you design and execute. Build on your experience working with the community and get creative with what you can do to address community needs.
About community projects
Connect to Community Grant
- Grant Amount: $200 to $1,500 CAD
- Eligibility: Undergraduate and Master's students
- Funded projects: Introductory, trial, or novel projects in partnership with a BC-based community organization
- Project duration: Up to 4 months, extensions are possible
Global Fund
- Grant Amount: $3,000 to $5,000 CAD
- Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate (Master's) students
- Funded projects: Those aiming to address community-rooted social justice and/or environmental justice issues with a BC-based community organization. Strong projects will have an intercultural focus
- Project duration: 4 to 6 months
Chapman and Innovation Grants
- Grant Amount: $1,500 to $10,000 CAD
- Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate (Master's) students
- Funded projects: Innovative or creative approaches to a community issue in partnership with a BC-based community organization
