UBC Life Building Bookings

The UBC Life Building was created to provide a vibrant space to study, work out, relax with friends, grab a bite to eat, and access student services and programs.

Building & Space Vision

In order to enhance the vibrancy of the building and support the university’s desire to support student culture and student agency, the UBC Life Building has a number of low barrier booking opportunities for student led programing initiatives.

All programs hosted inside the UBC Life building must provide value to students and contribute toward the following vision and goals of the building. They must:

  • Foster student connections, contribute to a vibrant & diverse student culture and enrich the student experience
  • Educate and foster student resilience, wellbeing, and health
  • Animate and add positive interest and engagement for students within the Life Building
  • Optimize resources to serve as many students as possible with a diversity of interest (student wellness, academic development, physical activity, arts, social events, etc.)

Note: The Life Building management team withholds the right to select and approve booking requests based on what best balances and supports the vision and goals of the building outlined above.
