About the role

Each year, Imagine UBC welcomes thousands of students to the University. The day is full of activities that help students find a community and feel supported through events and interactions with peers. Imagine UBC also provides a start to a learning experience that will challenge, stimulate, and prepare new students to achieve their goals.

The Senior Orientation Leader team plays an important role in Imagine UBC by supporting Imagine UBC Orientation Leaders. Senior Orientation Leaders help select Orientation Leaders and contribute to their training, team building, and development.

What will you get out of the role?

  • You’ll learn how to communicate with a diverse group of students and peers. 
  • You’ll develop leadership and teamwork skills working in large groups.
  • You’ll develop an understanding of how to facilitate groups, including engaging students in team games and activities (online and/or in person).
  • You’ll meet many other student leaders in your faculty or school.
  • You’ll develop your time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
