Non-Degree Studies tuition
Tuition fees are assessed on a per-credit basis and depend on the level of the course and the faculty in which it is offered.
Most undergraduate courses are 3 or 6 credits, with some exceptions. Check the course schedule for details.
On-campus student fees
Most student fees are assessed on a per-credit basis, so the student fees you owe will depend on how many credits you are taking.
Distance education fees
A $48.75 administrative fee per course applies
You may also be assessed a special invigilation and outside examination centre fee (usually $40) where examinations are permitted at a location not normally set up for UBC examinations, payable with the examination application
Expect to pay about $100-$150 per course for course materials. Course materials are available through the UBC Bookstore.
What else do I need to know?
BC residents 65 years of age or over who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents normally do not pay application, tuition or student fees. Fees will be assessed under the following circumstances: (a) programs within the faculties of Dentistry, Law, Medicine and Nursing, and some programs within the Faculty of Graduate Studies; (b) distance education administrative fee per course.
Thompson Rivers University-Open Learning degree students taking distance education courses through Access Studies do not pay the application fee.
