About the group
Are you a graduate student? Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or challenged in balancing work and life? This in-person support group is for graduate students to connect with each other in a non-judgmental and welcoming space to help navigate the unique challenges of grad school.
Topics are generated by participants so that relevant themes may be addressed. Past discussions have focused on topics such as:
- Coping with the graduate student experience and demands
- Isolation and making connections
- Motivation
- Procrastination and perfectionism
- Feelings of being an imposter
- Managing work relationships and communication
- Work/life balance and setting boundaries
- Building resilience, self-compassion and self-agency
You can connect with others and learn new coping strategies and skills.
You can join the support group at any point during the term, though we recommend regular attendance as it builds community.
