About the group
In this experiential group, you’ll learn how to work with emotions as pathways to deeper self-understanding, inner calm, and authenticity. The goal is to understand that your emotions are messengers, not obstacles.
This group may be especially meaningful for students who feel disconnected from their emotions, or sense they are “numbing” or avoiding parts of themselves. It’s also a good fit for those who are curious about how their emotions connect to their sense of identity and relational patterns.
Grounded in principles from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), this group creates a safe and supportive space for you to explore emotional patterns, build self-awareness, and connect more fully with your authentic self.
Topics will include:
- Understanding emotional responses and patterns
- Emotional avoidance and defense mechanisms
- Nervous system regulation and grounding techniques
- Developing self-compassion and emotional resilience
- Exploring the connection between body, emotion, and self
- Cultivating authentic self-expression and inner clarity
