About Associate Career Advisors
Associate Career Advisors (ACAs) work with the UBC Career Centre to help UBC students from all disciplines become career-ready graduates. ACAs facilitate career learning for undergraduate and graduate students through one-to-one advising, workshops, and more.
Who can apply?
To apply, students must be:
- Current upper-year undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD students
- Eligible for Work Learn positions
- Can commit to a one-year term from May to the following April
There are 4 to 8 positions available each year.

Time commitment
The time commitment is 20 hours per week during the Summer Term (May to August), and 10 hours per week during the Winter Term (September to April). For detailed time requirements, please review the position description.
