The Global Lounge is a welcoming space designed for new international students at UBC. Whether you’re looking to make friends, connect with peers, or learn how to navigate life at UBC and in Canada, the Global Lounge offers programs, events, and peer support to help you feel at home.
Events and programs
Our International Peer Advisors host regular drop-in hours and events at the lounge. From social gatherings to skill-building workshops, our events are designed to help you meet new people, explore campus resources, and feel more confident in your new environment.
Global Lounge space bookings
If you’re a student group, faculty, or campus unit interested in hosting events for international students, you can book a room in the Global Lounge space for events.
