Brock Commons South Community Space

About the space

The Brock Commons South Community Space is a multi-purpose room available to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at UBC Vancouver. It’s a space to pray, reflect, worship, meditate, contemplate, and build community.

The Brock Commons South Community Space is located in Room 4104 of Brock Commons South (6180 Walter Gage Road). 

Amenities

To ensure the space can accomodate a variety of events and activities, the following amenities are available:

  • Accessible building entrances, room entrance, and elevators
  • All-gender washroom located nearby
  • Kitchen facilities, including a microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher
  • 36 chairs for community gathering
  • 7 moveable tables and 1 stationary table
  • Screen and audiovisual (AV) system for presentations
  • An adjacent Prayer and Quiet Contemplation Room

Booking the space

The Brock Commons South Community Space can be booked for community programming that serves the faith-based and spiritual student community at UBC. Bookings are available Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, excluding statutory holidays observed by UBC. 

To book the space, you must be one of the following:

  • Student from AMS and GSS faith-based and spiritual clubs at UBC Vancouver
  • The Office of the Vice-President, Students (VPSO) staff member
  • Chaplain at UBC

How to book the space

If you are interested in booking the space, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your programming complies with the booking guidelines (pdf).
  2. Check the space availability on Calendly. Please do not book on Calendly, as registration happens separately.
  3. Submit a booking request form.
