The Pentecostal Church is found within the mainstream of orthodox evangelical protestant faith. As a movement the church is less than 100 years old. While Pentecostals emphasize the physical expression of God's inner dwelling through spiritual and supernatural gifts, we also are known for our ministry to the fringes of society, cultural diversity and passion for talking about God to others. At UBC, our ministry is made up of more than just Pentecostals; virtually every Christian denomination has been represented in our community at one time or another.
About the Pentecostal Church
University was a transformative time of my life. Not only was I challenged by of my courses at UBC, I also was enriched by deep friendships and a vibrant community of students who loved Jesus and wanted to make a difference in the world through Him and for Him.
Through the Pentecostal Chaplaincy, we sponsor a multi-denominational Christian student group on campus. We are a community who desires to walk alongside students through the contours of university life, and we hope to be a place where students can discover what it means to integrate what you learn in the classroom with the Christian faith.
University Christian Ministries (UCM) at UBC is a student community passionate for Christ, excited about His transforming power at work in our lives, and open to God's life-changing power through the Holy Spirit.
We meet every Thursday Night during the academic year and we also host small group Bible studies. We’d love for you to join our community! Check out our website for more information about our club on campus.
