The 3M National Student Fellowship honours up to ten full-time diploma and undergraduate students at Canadian post-secondary institutions who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their lives and at their college or university. These students embrace a vision of quality education that enhances their academic experience and beyond. Awards are coordinated through the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE).
The award consists of:
- An award of $1,000
- An invitation to the annual conference of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) in June, to participate in a 3M National Student Fellows Conference Summit
- Coverage of travel and accommodation costs to attend the annual conference and Conference Summit (conference registration costs are expected to be paid by the students’ institution)
- Membership to the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE)
- As part of the fellowship, winners are expected to develop and complete a funded project on teaching and learning, alongside the rest of their 3M Fellowship cohort winners
