The UBC Vancouver Student Housing Supplement Grant will provide additional one-time funding of up to $3,300 for each eligible first-year undergraduate student living in UBC managed first-year residences. This program is meant to support students who wish to attend UBC and participate in the residence experience.

About the grant
Am I eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Be accepted to UBC as a first-year undergraduate student
- Live in a UBC-managed first-year residence and stay in residence for duration of Winter Session
Have recieved federal student loans
Have recieved at least $35 per week in Canada Student Grant for full-time students.
Be considered a dependent student, according to your province's student loan policy
- Has not been awarded the Student Housing Assistance Grant
1. If stay in residence is less than duration of Winter Session, the grant will be prorated
2. Below table shows minimum eligible Canada Student for Full-Time Students for common study periods:

How to apply
No application is required
All eligible students will automatically receive the grant via cheque or direct deposit. Recipients will be notified by email in November.
