Ordering a transcript

Official transcripts are available to current students and alumni. They include their complete academic record at the University of British Columbia. Transcripts are confidential and can only be released by request from a student or alumnus.

Transcript Services during COVID-19

As of Wednesday, May 12, 2021, you can get your transcript as a PDF document through email, or as a paper copy through mail. UBC is no longer providing both a PDF and paper copy when you place an order.

  • For Proof of Enrolment: Download it from “Grades and Records” in your Student Services Centre (SSC).
  • For your unofficial grades: View and print it from “Your Grades Summary” under Grades & Records in your SSC.
  • If you need your forms to be enclosed with your transcript, please email transcripts.students@ubc.ca. We are currently only able to attach forms that do not need to be filled out by UBC.

Ordering transcripts before classes start

Courses for the current term will not display on your transcript until the first day of classes. Make sure you order your transcript on or after the first day of classes if you want the current term's courses to display.

For example, if you have registered for Winter Term 1 (WT1) but classes haven't started yet, your transcript won't display any course information for that term. You'll have to wait until WT1 classes start for the courses to appear on your transcript.

Important information

  • The student or alumnus must order the transcript themselves.
