UBtheChange Community Activators collaborate with staff, community organizations, and schools to plan and implement community action projects throughout the year. Their work directly benefits local communities and facilitates meaningful learning experiences for UBC students.
About the role
Who can apply?
Students from all disciplines and years are invited to apply for the role. Preference is given to alumni of the Reading Week Program, Community Action Days projects, former UBtheChange Activators, and others with student leadership experience.
There are typically 25 to 35 positions available each year.

The Peer Programs Program Advisors would like to recognize that being able to participate in student leadership opportunities is a privilege. The weekly commitment for each Peer Program varies in length but may not be possible for some students who need accommodations based on chronic health conditions, disabilities, mental health, and/or other lived experiences.

Time commitment
The time commitment for the position is 15 to 25 hours of independent project planning, including mandatory meetings on Wednesdays, 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
