Bruno PETZOLD Memorial Scholarship in Buddhism and Japanese Studies

A $3,800 scholarship has been endowed by Mrs. Liesel Petzold in honour of her father-in-law, Dr. Bruno Petzold (1873-1949), who served as a professor at Tokyo Daiichi Koto Gakko, the present Tokyo University at Komaba. The scholarship is awarded on the recommendation of the Department of Asian Studies to a student majoring in Japanese or Asian Area Studies who has an interest in Buddhism.
