Beatrice Johnson WOOD Scholarship in Theatre

Award descriptionA scholarship of $1,650 has been endowed as a tribute to Beatrice Wood, B.A.Sc. (Nursing) '23, by her three children. Beatrice Wood has displayed a lifelong commitment to the theatre both as an undergraduate and in the years since her graduation. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Frederic Wood Theatre Foundation and also served as a member of the UBC Senate. The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Theatre and Film to an outstanding student in the Acting stream of the B.F.A. program. The financial circumstances of the candidate will be a consideration.
