Sydney J. RISK Graduate Award in Directing

Award descriptionA $2,500 award is offered by the Sydney J. Risk Foundation in memory of Western Canada theatre pioneer, Sydney J. Risk, to recognize a student who shows exceptional promise for a directing career in the theatre. It is awarded to a promising Directing candidate as they enter their second year of the Master of Fine Arts Program. The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Theatre and Film in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
