CANADIAN Literature Student Award

An award of up to $1,500 is offered annually to a UBC undergraduate Arts Co-op student completing a one year work term at Canadian Literature to acquire practical experience in publishing, research and writing. Founded in 1959, the publication includes a large selection of book reviews, original poetry, and peer-reviewed articles. It was one of the first academic journals in Canada to establish a website and is now widely available in electronic format. Many of its past editors are prominent scholars, including George Woodcock, William H. New, Eva-Marie Kr?ller, and Laurie Ricou. Canadian Literature is a primary and essential reference source for readers, scholars, and students of Canadian writing. This award is made on the recommendation of the Committee of Canadian Literature within the Faculty of Arts.
