Dr. Yosef Wosk Entrance Award in ArtsONE

Award descriptionA $5,000 award has been made available annually through a gift from Dr. Yosef Wosk, O.C., O.B.C., for a student entering the ArtsONE program. Dr. Wosk (B.A. 1971) was one of the first students enrolled in the newly developed ArtsONE program in 1967. He subsequently earned seven university degrees and received two honorary doctorates. Dr. Wosk was awarded the Freedom of the City award by the City of Vancouver, and is an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Member of the Order of British Columbia, a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and a recipient of both the Queen's Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals. The awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Arts.
