Meekison Arts Student Entrance Award

Award descriptionTwo entrance awards of $10,000 has been endowed by James Meekison for an undergraduate student entering the first year of study in the Faculty of Arts. The donor's contribution was matched in part by the Faculty of Arts. This award supports an academically qualified student with demonstrated leadership skills and an interest in joining and contributing to the UBC community, but who would not be able to attend UBC without significant financial assistance. The award is renewable for an additional three years or until the first undergraduate degree is obtained (whichever is the shorter period). Candidates interested in this application must be nominated by their Secondary School. The award is made on the recommendation of the Entrance Award selection committee.
