Mahesh K. UPADHYAYA Plant Science Graduate Scholarship
Scholarships totalling $1,400 have been made available through an endowment established in honour of Dr. Mahesh K. Upadhyaya for graduate students in the Plant Science Graduate Program in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems who are working on agricultural and/or horticultural topics. Dr. Upadhyaya is a Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems and has dedicated many years to teaching and conducting research on plant science. He is a recipient of the Killam Teaching Award from UBC, the James F. Richard Service Award from the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, and the Excellence in Weed Science Award from the Canadian Weed Science Society. The awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
