Dr. Derek Daniel WOLNEY Memorial Resident Prize in Anaesthesia

Award descriptionA $200 prize has been endowed in memory of Dr. Derek Daniel Wolney, by his friends and associates. Dr. Wolney, M.D. UBC 1976, was in the final year of his four-year post-graduate training program and at the time of his passing in 1980 he was Resident-in-Chief. He is remembered well for his excellence in clinical anaesthesia. The prize is awarded to the resident in the Department of Anaesthesia Resident Training Program (any year of training eligible) considered by the Department as demonstrating the highest level of clinical proficiency in Anaesthesia.
