Dr. Laura G. JASCH Memorial Prize

A prize of $650 has been endowed by friends and colleagues of the late Dr. Laura G. Jasch. Dr. Jasch, an Associate Professor in the former Department of Anatomy, now the Department of Cellular & Physiological Sciences, died in 1984 in a mountaineering accident in Southeastern B.C. She was a dedicated and outstanding teacher and researcher. The prize is awarded to a student supervised by a faculty member of the Department of Cellular & Physiological Sciences who exhibits the best combination of research achievement and teaching or service (such as committee work) to the Department or to a student in the post-baccalaureate program in Medicine or Dentistry who shows promise in teaching and research in Anatomy. The award is made on the recommendation of the Research Committee and the Head of the Teaching Committee in the Department of Cellular & Physiological Sciences.
