H. Rocke ROBERTSON Prize in Surgery

Award descriptionA $1050 prize has been made available through an endowment established by family, friends and colleagues in honour Dr. Rocke Robertson (1912-1988), for a third year medical student showing outstanding ability in the field of surgical studies. Dr. Robertson (B.Sc., M.D.C.M.) was the first Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery at UBC. This prize was established to recognize the contributions that he made to the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Surgery. The awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of Surgery.
