John J. MASON Memorial Scholarship

Award descriptionScholarships totalling $9,300 have been endowed by Mrs. John J. Mason in memory of her late husband. Dr. John J. Mason graduated with a B.A. and a M.D. from the University of Western Ontario and practised in London, Ontario prior to coming to British Columbia in 1913. He was on the staff of both St. Paul's and the Vancouver General Hospital, where he was a lecturer in the fields of gynecology and obstetrics. The scholarships are awarded to students in the Faculty of Medicine on the recommendation of the Dean.
