Dr. Kim Stevenson Memorial Award in Anesthesiology

Awards totalling $2,000 have been made available annually through a gift from the Association of Victoria Anesthesiologists and held at the University of Victoria, in memory of Dr. Kim Stevenson (1965-2020), for outstanding fourth-year M.D. students in the Island Medical Program who have matched to a residency program in anesthesia. Dr. Stevenson received his medical degree from the University of Orange Free State in South Africa. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Anesthesia, Pharmacology, and Therapeutics in the UBC Faculty of Medicine, and the section head of obstetric anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain and Perioperative Medicine at Victoria General Hospital.
