Judy Lynne Adams Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships totalling $1,650 have been made available through an endowment established by an estate gift from Norma-Jean Lucille Adams (1932-2020), in memory of her daughter Judy Lynne Adams (1953-1994), for students conducting research into the causes of intellectual disabilities and on improvements in the diagnosis and health of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Judy was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and moved with her family to Burnaby, British Columbia in the 1960s. Norma-Jean established this scholarship in Judys memory to support students working to expand our knowledge of intellectual disabilities and to improve the wellbeing of people living with intellectual disabilities. The scholarships are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine, and in the case of a graduate student, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
