Law Foundation of British Columbia Public Interest Award

Thirteen awards of $5,750 each are offered annually by the Law Foundation of British Columbia for students entering second or third year of the JD program who have demonstrated through volunteer or paid work, outstanding commitment to working in the broader public interest sector, particularly in the fields of legal aid, legal education and law reform. Preference will be given to students with good academic achievement who have traditionally been underrepresented in the legal profession and/or have worked in the broader public interest in rural areas of the province of British Columbia. Students must apply for this award. The award is made on the recommendation of the Peter A. Allard School of Law.
