It can take time to figure out all the little tips and tricks that will make life on campus a lot easier. We’ve created a series of “Campus tips” videos, which highlight things most students may not be aware of without someone (like us!) telling them.
UBCcard
Have you applied for your UBCcard online yet? Skip the line and apply today. You'll thank us next week (when 50,000 students return to campus). Here's a recap of what you can do with your UBCcard - and check out our full post on all its perks!
Free software
Did you know UBC offers free software to students? Active students with a valid CWL account qualify for a free Office 365 subscription. Software downloads include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
Food hacks
Many of UBC’s food outlets offer deals and you can also order ahead at some places to skip the line. Hurray for time and money saved!
Bookable study spaces
There are rooms around campus that are free for students to book. So if you need a space for studying, working on a group project, or practicing a presentation - check this out!
Crash at the UBC Hostel
If you’re studying late or have an early morning exam, catch some on-campus Zs at the UBC Commuter Student Hostel.
We hope these tips will make your time at UBC a little easier. View more campus tips here.
